About Tarik Zahouani, M.D.
Neonatology is an exciting field where progress is constantly made and it’s a privilege to provide care to the youngest patients and support their families during what can be a difficult time. Specializing in both neonatology and pediatric cardiology, my primary interest is in congenital heart disease and neonatal hemodynamics. I’m a proud member of the Neonatology team at Weill Cornell Medicine. It’s an honor to work in this great institution.
Dr. Tarik Zahouani received his medical degree from Faculté de Médecine et de Pharmacie de Casablanca, Morocco. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, Bronx, New York. He went on to complete a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Zahouani then completed a second fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, New York, making him one of the very few physicians in the country to complete training in both neonatology and pediatric cardiology.
