About Juliana Romano, M.D.
As a part of the team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, it is an honor to take care of children and their families during their most vulnerable times. Our team works together to provide excellent and compassionate care to the families that we care for.
Dr. Romano received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Villanova University. She then received her Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed both her residency training in Pediatrics and her fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. During her fellowship training, she helped to establish Weill Cornell’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Follow Up Clinic, which sees patients virtually following their discharge from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). She remains involved in this clinic, and is passionate about improving outcomes following PICU admission.
Dr. Romano’s research interests include post-PICU outcomes, especially mental health outcomes. She has received the Department of Pediatrics Small Research Grant funding for her work in this area.
