Biographical Info

Dr. Cohen grew up in New York City and obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology and Classics at Brown University where he was also a Division I athlete. He graduated from the combined MD/PhD program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, earning his PhD in the laboratory of Domenico Tortorella, PhD studying cytomegalovirus infection to characterize potential new therapeutic targets and drugs. He completed his residency in Pathology at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident in Clinical Pathology followed by a fellowship in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine at the New York Blood Center and New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He now joins the faculty of Weill Cornell Medicine as Assistant Director of Transfusion Medicine and Cellular Biotherapies and Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
