As a cancer care provider who has also experienced a loved one’s battle with cancer first-hand, I know the difficulties of taking care of a patient with cancer. I understand the uncertainty and the hope that treatments may provide. I understand the logistics of multiple visits, tests and scans. I understand the anxiety of reviewing interim and end-of-treatment scans. I have been there for my family which deeply informs my approach to provide empathic and patient and family-centered care. We are all human beings going through this immense journey. Under my care you will receive the best, most up-to-date treatments coupled with compassion and understanding. I have had the good fortune of training with some of the best world-class providers at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine during my Fellowship. I continue to work closely and in collaboration with these physician-researchers in my role on faculty as a part of the Weill Cornell Medicine Lymphoma Program. Fortunately, immense advancements have been made in treatment for patients with cancer. I am proud to have been at the forefront of developing new and evolving treatment options at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine especially advancing treatments in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and other lymphomas. Clinical trials are an important part of advancing treatments for patients. My ability to enroll patients on cutting-edge clinical trials at the Weill Cornell Medicine Meyer Cancer Center is what sets us apart in advancing patient care.
