#WeAreWCM: Dr. Judy Tung
Dr. Judy Tung is committed to providing the best patient care, knowing the value of having someone who's "got your back" when fighting illness. Five years ago, Dr. Tung, a mother of two young girls, was diagnosed with stage three stomach cancer. Now a patient, she chose Weill Cornell Medicine to watch her back.
"I knew that if I wanted to have my best chance of survival, I should get my care at my own institution," said Dr. Tung, an associate professor of clinical medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and chair of the Department of Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital.
"I give 100 percent of myself to what I do, and I expect 100 percent in return. That's the culture of Weill Cornell Medicine. People here give all that they can."
