About Nanzeeba Ahmad, M.S.
As a genetic counselor, I am committed to providing personalized support and understanding of complex genetic conditions and inherited disorders affecting my clients. I strive to empower my clients and their family members with the aid of my team to guide clients through the challenges of managing such unique challenges. Given the rapidly growing field of genetics, I am eager to meet our patients with an enthusiasm for impacting their lives and helping them navigate this ever-evolving area.
Nanzeeba Ahmad is a Pediatric/Inpatient Genetic Counselor at Weill Cornell Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Public Health at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York and her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling at Columbia University in New York City. Nanzeeba received intensive training through the Columbia University Irving Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital System to conduct genetic counseling with a strong foundation in genetic and genomic sciences/technology, precision medicine, humanistic counseling, and ethical inquiry.
Nanzeeba is passionate about working through healthcare disparities and furthering efforts regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in medicine. She has counseled patients from various religious, ethnic, lingual, and cultural backgrounds given her time working in the Washington Heights area. As a New York native who was raised in Queens, she is dedicated to providing service back to the great people of this city. She aims to serve all clients from various backgrounds in their healthcare journey.
Nanzeeba is fluent in speaking Bengali.
