Litong Du, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and Attending Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
Dr. Du is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in general and laparoscopic surgery. He has an expertise in performing laparoscopic-assisted gastrectomy, colectomy, adrenalectomy, splenectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, and appendectomy. A well-published surgeon in his field, Dr. Du has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and lectures at national presentations in the field of general and laparoscopic surgery.
After earning his medical degree from Beijing Medical University in China, Dr. Du completed his PhD in Pathology with honors at New York Medical College. He served his internship at Westchester Medical Center and York Medical College and completed his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he was named chief resident during his final year. Dr. Du also completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
