About Laura Sofia Munoz Arcos, M.D.
I was drawn to oncology when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer while I was a medical student. Since then, I have developed a deep interest in breast cancer care, particularly its biological complexity and rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape. My approach prioritizes the patient in front of me, emphasizing a partnership and an individualized understanding of their needs. I am especially dedicated to ensuring that patients have a clear and accurate understanding of their diagnosis. At Weill Cornell, I am fortunate to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists to determine the most appropriate therapy for each patient. I am confident that this collaborative environment enables me to provide the highest level of care, always with the goal of achieving the best possible outcomes for my patients.
