About Kaavya Mahajan, M.D.
Dr. Mahajan is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and adult cardiothoracic assistant attending anesthesiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
Dr. Mahajan graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience & behavior. She went on to earn her medical degree from Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Mahajan completed her anesthesia residency and adult cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Mahajan is certified in advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography and is passionate about perioperative transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography in the care of her patients.
