I am dedicated to helping you achieve your visual goals and attain the best possible vision by drawing upon my clinical training and experience. I offer a variety of services including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, medically necessary contact lenses, and optometric management of ocular disease. Biographical Info

Julie Lin, OD is an optometrist at Weill Cornell Medicine Ophthalmology with clinical interests in specialty contact lenses and ocular disease.

Dr. Lin graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry, where she also completed a micro-credential in cornea and contact lens. During optometry school, Dr. Lin was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and received the Gas Permeable Lens Institute Clinical Excellence Award for Outstanding Clinical Proficiency in Contact Lenses and the Dr. William M. Eisenberg Memorial Award for Excellence in Ocular Disease. She went on to complete a residency in ocular disease and cornea/contact lens at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School. During her residency, she gained experience in complex specialty contact lens fittings. Her residency training also included rotations in multiple ophthalmology sub-specialty clinics such as neuro-ophthalmology, cornea, trauma, and oculoplastics. Following her residency, Dr. Lin served as a staff optometrist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear where she was actively involved in teaching optometry and ophthalmology residents.

Dr. Lin is currently a member of Weill Cornell Medicine Ophthalmology and is accepting new patients. She provides comprehensive eye care and contact lens exams. She offers fittings for soft contact lenses such as toric and multifocal designs, as well as specialty contact lenses including corneal rigid gas permeable, scleral, and custom soft lenses. These specialty lenses are used in the management of a wide range of conditions including ocular surface disease, corneal transplants, irregular astigmatism, keratoconus, post trauma, aphakia, and high refractive error.
