Biographical Info

Dr. Joseph Bailey received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and earned his MD from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Northwestern University.Dr. Bailey’s clinical expertise lies in airway disorders, and he serves as the medical director of the Weill Cornell Asthma Program. His research focuses on the long-term respiratory consequences of acute illness, including how respiratory infections contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic lung disease.
