Personal Statement

Jing Li, MD, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and a board-certified vascular surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens, specializing in arterial and venous disease using both open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular techniques. After graduating from the accelerated BS/MD program at Pennsylvania State University in conjunction with Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Li completed her general surgery residency at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania and a year of clinical and translational research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She then subspecialized in vascular and endovascular surgery, completing her fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Active in research, Dr. Li has presented her work at numerous regional and national meetings, co-authored a textbook chapter, and has published in medical and scientific journals including the Journal of Vascular Surgery Cases and Nature. Her personal interests include surgical education and improving access to care.
