About Jiani Chai, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Chai received both her M.D. (2008) and Master of Medicine (MMed 2011) from Zhongshan School of Medicine Sun Yat- sen University in China. She then completed her Ph.D. in Immunology at Washington University at the St. Louis School of Medicine in 2018 and various post-doctoral associate roles from 2018-2020. She completed a clinical and research training residency program at Montefiore Medical Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 2024. She completed training as a Hematopathology Fellow at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine in 2025 and will complete a Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York in 2026. Dr. Chai will join us as Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in our Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology divisions.
