About Janine Lebofsky, MD
As a primary care physician, my foremost goal is to support each patient in achieving and maintaining optimal health and a meaningful quality of life. I aim to foster a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel truly heard and comfortable sharing their concerns. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships that empower patients to take an active role in their health journey.
Dr. Lebofsky grew up in Westchester County, New York. She graduated cum laude from Barnard College with a BA in history, and earned her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to joining Weill Cornell, Dr. Lebofsky was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and practiced internal medicine as a hospitalist and primary care physician at Bellevue Hospital for 10 years. She has particular interests in preventive medicine and weight management.
