Personal Statement

Dr. HyunJi Boo believes that compassionate care is collaborative care. She works with each patient in their unique context to formulate a patient specific plan that accounts for their individual lifestyle and goals.

Biographical Info

Dr. HyunJi Boo is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (Foot Surgery and Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery) and board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Boo received her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then completed a four-year residency program within the New York Presbyterian Hospital system: NYP Queens, a level 1 trauma center, NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center, and NYP/Columbia University. During residency, she underwent comprehensive training in all facets of foot and ankle care, including elective surgery, sports medicine, trauma, wound care, and conservative care. Following residency, she furthered her training at the North Jersey Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship, where she focused on limb salvage and reconstructive surgery for the treatment of Charcot Neuroarthopathy. Dr. Boo is thrilled to bring her skillset back to NYP and to serve the people of New York City.
