Biographical Info

Dr. Harout Yacoub is a board-certified cardiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. He is also the director of advanced cardiac imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Yacoub's clinical expertise includes coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, general clinical cardiology, and preventative cardiology. As a multimodality imager, he holds board certifications in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI.

Dr. Yacoub is a graduate of Tishreen University, he completed his residency, chief residency, and cardiovascular disease fellowship at the Hofstra Zucker School of Medicine Northwell Health Staten Island University Program. Dr. Yacoub subsequently completed an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Before joining NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, Dr. Yacoub was the Director of Cardiac Imaging and Echocardiography at Northwell Health Staten Island University Hospital and an assistant professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Dr. Yacoub's interests focus on coronary plaque analysis, coronary physiology, applications of multimodality imaging in cardiovascular disease, structural preprocedural planning, cardiac MRI, and cardiac PET. Fluent in Arabic and Armenian, Dr. Yacoub is dedicated to delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care to diverse patient populations.
