Biographical Info

Dr. Eung-Mi Lee is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist with advanced specialist training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). Having spent her formative educational years at both a large health safety net hospital and a large tertiary care referral center, she is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care for complex benign gynecologic conditions including endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, gender affirmation care, abnormal uterine bleeding, and Mullerian anomalies. In particular, she is interested in caring for patients with endometriosis, a condition that often involves a delayed diagnosis and may cause debilitating pain and greatly impact quality of life.

Dr. Lee received her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed a joint MBA at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. She completed her residency training at Boston Medical Center, followed by an AAGL-accredited fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Magee Womens Hospital. At Magee Womens Hospital, she received extensive, high-volume surgical training in advanced gynecologic laparoscopy with leaders in the field of MIGS, particularly in excision of endometriosis.

Dr. Lee is interested in furthering knowledge in the field of MIGS and is completing research on using ultrasound elastography to diagnose adenomyosis and on malignant transformation rates of atypical endometriosis. She is passionate about surgical education, and has received multiple institutional teaching awards during both residency and fellowship, as well as international recognition for her educational surgical videos. She believes in creating a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental space for all patients including members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities and is honored to be entrusted with their concerns. She strives to partner with patients to serve them in achieving their goals using the best that evidence-based medicine has to offer.
