Personal Statement

Emily has experience in cardiac and thoracic surgery and critical care medicine and is dedicated to using her experiences to help guide her practice in pulmonary medicine. Emily is dedicated to provided evidence-based, patient centered care in her role as a Nurse Practitioner here at Weill Cornell. She has a focus in working with patients with Interstitial Lung Disease, but the knowledge and training to care for all pulmonary patients. She strives to treat every patient with empathy and understanding to best guide them through their disease process.

Biographical Info

Emily studied at the University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She worked on the Cardiothoracic Surgery Step Down Unit at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical center for over 5 years as a Registered Nurse. She also has experience working in the ICU during the COVID-19 Pandemic. While working in critical care, Emily obtained her Master's of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from Pace University and joined the Weill Cornell Pulmonary team in 2023. 

Relationships and collaborations with for-profit and not-for profit organizations are of vital importance to our faculty because these exchanges of scientific information foster innovation. As experts in their fields, WCM physicians and scientists are sought after by many organizations to consult and educate. WCM and its faculty make this information available to the public, thus creating a transparent environment.
