About Devora Isseroff, M.D.
My passion for breast oncology is derived from my personal experience having close family members who have been diagnosed with both early and advanced breast cancers. Seeing my loved ones face this disease inspired me to dedicate my career to improving outcomes and providing compassionate care to patients who are facing similar challenges.
From the outset of my medical training, I recognized the importance of treating not only the disease, but also in providing support and compassion to the person living with it. This belief has driven both my clinical approach and my research. It shapes how I work with every patient, taking the time to listen, explain, and understand what matters most to them.
My goal is to help each patient move through their diagnosis with clarity, compassion, and confidence, while I continue to be engaged in research that improves outcomes and quality of life for women with breast cancer.
Dr. Devora Isseroff is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she specializes in the treatment of breast cancer.
Dr. Isseroff earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed her internal medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She completed her Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Hospital.
Her research focuses on cancer genomics and biomarkers, including circulating tumor DNA, to improve understanding of breast cancer biology and treatment response. Dr. Isseroff is a recipient of the 2025 Conquer Cancer Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Young Investigator Award and has presented her work at national meetings, including ASCO and the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.
