Personal Statement

With nearly 20 years of nursing experience, I have dedicated most of my career to promoting women’s health across a range of clinical specialties. I joined Weill Cornell Medicine in 2016 as part of the Department of Breast Surgery, where I provided comprehensive care to patients undergoing breast cancer treatment, as well as to individuals identified as high risk. My work in surgical oncology deepened my understanding of the vital role early detection plays in improving cancer outcomes. This ultimately inspired my transition and focus from cancer treatment to cancer screening and prevention. As part of the breast radiology team, I collaborate closely with patients to evaluate individual risk factors and develop personalized strategies for breast cancer screening and prevention. I am committed to empowering each patient to take an active role in their health through education, evidence-based care, and compassionate support.
