Personal Statement

The New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Heart Failure team strives to deliver outstanding care to patients with advanced heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.  There is a strong focus on multidisciplinary decision-making and evidence-based medicine.  I am proud to be a member of the team and contribute to the high standard of care and positive outcomes which are hallmarks of this institution.  

Biographical Info

Dr. McDonald graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in biology.  He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine.  Dr. McDonald remained at NYU after graduating from medical school to complete his internal medicine residency training there.  He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
