About Dan Vu, MD
I am a double board-certified and fellowship-trained interventional pain physician and anesthesiologist.
As an interventional pain physician, my goal is to treat pain at its source in order to restore your function, restore your quality of life, and reduce the amount of medications that you have to take long-term.
Dan Vu, MD is a double board-certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty fellowship training in interventional pain medicine. He completed his medical education at The University of Kansas School of Medicine. He then completed his anesthesthesiology residency at The University of Kansas Medical Center. He then completed fellowship training in Pain Medicine also at The University of Kansas Medical Center where he gained invaluble experience in a wide variety of interventional pain management techniques.
Dr. Vu then joined Weill Cornell Medicine. As an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology, he is involved in resident and fellow education and training the next generation of anesthesiologists and interventional pain physicians.
His clinical interests revolve around neuromodulatory treatments, such as spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation, and peripheral nerve stimulation. These treatment modalities at the forefront of medical technology allow him to treat a variety of conditions that otherwise do not have an effective treatment, or that have failed other treatments in the past. These conditions include complex regional pain syndrome, sciatica, lumbar or cervical radiculopathy, chronic post-surgical pain, and phantom limb pain.
He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Medical Association, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience, the North American Neuromodulation Society, and The International Neuromodulation Society.
