Personal Statement

As a hematologist and oncologist, my job is not just that of a caregiver but also an educator and advocate. I strive for efficient and effective personalized care for each of my patients. It is my goal to ensure that my patients fully understand their diagnosis and all available treatment options. I am continuously inspired by my patients and their families who display strength and resilience amid the diagnosis of cancer and throughout therapy. I am driven to provide the excellent care that they deserve, educate them about their treatment, and advocate for their needs. I have focused my research efforts in quality improvement for the care of patients with cancer and blood disorders. As a physician at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, I work with a world-class group of physicians, nurses, social workers and nutritionists who team up to provide state-of-the-art treatment that is individualized for each patient.
