About Anna Apostolopoulou, M.D.
I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to my patients. My areas of expertise include fungal infections and infections in immunocompromised hosts with a focus on patients who have undergone solid organ or stem cell transplantation as well as patients receiving cancer-directed therapies.
Dr. Apostolopoulou earned her M.D. at the University of Athens, Greece and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She then completed an Infectious Diseases fellowship at the joint program of Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She later sub-specialized in Transplant and Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases at the same institutions.
In 2023, Dr. Apostolopoulou joined the Mansour Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital as a research investigator studying neutrophil responses against Candida albicans. Concurrently, she worked as a Graduate Assistant Attending at Massachusetts General Hospital. She joined Weill Cornell Medicine in 2024.
