Personal Statement

I am a medical oncologist dedicated to treating and studying diseases that affect the genitourinary system. At Weill Cornell Medicine, I work at the intersection of science and patient care, which allows me to combine my medical training and research insights to provide the best possible care to adults with kidney, bladder, prostate and testicular cancers. It is a priority of mine to not only deliver cutting-edge and compassionate care to my patients, but to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families as they cope with a cancer diagnosis. I feel privileged to collaborate with a multidisciplinary, world-class team of clinicians, nurses, social workers and other cancer sub-specialists. Together, we are able to offer an extraordinary level of expertise and support to our patients at all stages of disease. Additionally, my scientific work involves translational research and clinical trials to investigate promising, new treatment therapies. This allows us to move the field forward in order to one day find cures for cancer.

After obtaining her MD from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 2003, Dr. Molina completed her Internal Medicine Residency training at New York University.  She then served, successively, as Chief Resident, Hematology/Oncology Fellow, and Assistant Attending Physician at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  Dr. Molina is a recipient of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Young Investigator Award, and is a regular speaker and presenter at national oncological conferences, including ASCO and ASCO Genitourinary Cancers Symposium.

Dr. Molina has significant experience with clinical trials, as well as developing strategies to directly utilize human samples to probe into the molecular basis underlying pathogenesis, cancer metastasis and treatment responses to therapies.  Dr. Molina works closely with translational scientists; physicians and investigators in the Department of Urology; and investigators in the Institute of Precision Medicine, to develop and coordinate multidisciplinary clinical, translational, and genomic-based clinical studies in GU cancers.
