Personal Statement

I am very excited to join the Gastroenterology and Hepatology faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine. The liver was the first organ I fell in love with in medical school, and my passion for gut and liver disease physiology and its management continues to this day. Being diagnosed with liver disease can be overwhelming, and it’s an honor working with patients and their families to find safe and effective preventive tools, management strategies, and cures.

My clinical practice will focus on the prevention and management of liver disease, including fatty liver, hepatitis, abnormal liver tests, autoimmune disease, liver cancer and other tumors, and cirrhosis and its complications. At Weill Cornell I am fortunate to work with a large team of experts in all manner of liver care, even liver transplantation for those who need it. I have additional research interest in the prevention of disease progression and complications, especially using emerging technologies. I am also involved in clinical trials for emerging therapeutics and tests.
