Personal Statement

My journey into patient care began with a desire to make a tangible difference in people's lives. Through my 14 years as a hospital registered nurse and 15 years as an outpatient  Nurse Practitioner, I've honed my abilities in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, while also developing a deep understanding of patient needs and preferences.

My experiences have provided me with invaluable insights into the complexities of healthcare and the importance of compassionate, evidence-based care. I am particularly drawn to the opportunity to work with a diverse adult population with acute and chronic medical conditions and to utilize my advanced knowledge and skills to improve patient outcomes.

I received my BS and MS degrees at Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. I had been practicing as an NP at Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates since 2011.
