Biographical Info

Dr. Srihari Mahadev specializes in the care of patients referred for complex endoscopic procedures. He has broad expertise in therapeutic endoscopy, particularly endoscopic removal of gastrointestinal polyps and tumours, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) for treatment of achalasia and Zenkers diverticulum

 Dr. Mahadev graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College with a degree in chemistry and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He returned to Australia for medical school, prior to pursuing internal medicine residency and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Columbia University Medical Center. He received a scholarship to complete a Masters of Science in clinical research methodology at the Mailman School of Public Health. He then pursued a further year of specialized minimally-invasive advanced endoscopy training at New York University under the mentorship of Dr. Gregory Haber.
