Referring Physicians

Referring to Weill Cornell Medicine

Weill Cornell Medicine uses Epic as its primary electronic medical record, and refers patients electronically via Epic.

External providers are now able to submit a digital referral to Weill Cornell Medicine physicians via EpicCare Link. This service offers real-time, secure online access to your patients' clinical information, enabling seamless coordination of care with Weill Cornell Medicine. Through EpicCare Link, you can:

  • Easily submit referrals to our organization
  • View up-to-date patient data
  • Communicate directly with our care teams

To ensure the most efficient scheduling with our clinical teams, we strongly encourage external referring physicians to submit referrals electronically via EpicCare Link.

Clinical Trials

Advancing clinical research is essential to the missions of Weill Cornell Medicine and our hospital partner, NewYork-Presbyterian

In 2013, WCM and NYP launched the Joint Clinical Trials Office (JCTO) to foster and advance clinical research programs. This collaboration was established in recognition of the need to provide support to investigators in these endeavors. We aim to provide a coordinated effort to facilitate high-impact projects that are synergistic with other institutional goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

For a list of clinical trials in open recruitment, as well as information for investigators and study teams, visit the Joint Clinical Trials Office website.

Patient Transfers

Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian are known regionally and nationally for their world-class specialists in many areas, and our physicians routinely receive patients transferred from other medical institutions.

If you need to arrange for the transfer of a patient, please call the NewYork-Presbyterian Transfer Center at (800) NYP-STAT. This number is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and staff can facilitate the consult and acceptance processes to the Hospital.
