Biographical Info

Dr. Desai received her M.D. from the Medical University of Lublin in Lublin, Poland, in 2015. She completed a clinical and research training residency program in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Danbury Hospital through Columbia University in New York. Following her residency, she pursued a Forensic Pathology Fellowship at the University of Connecticut. Since then, Dr. Desai has held various positions as a medical examiner and forensic pathologist at multiple local institutions.

Dr. Desai will contribute to the clinical, educational, and research activities of the Department through active participation in the clinical diagnostic and teaching conferences as part of the Autopsy and Perinatal Pathology service in our Anatomic Pathology division. Additionally, she will be our Chief of Autopsy Pathology wherein she will oversee the Autopsy Program that services WCM, NYP-Queens, NYP-Brooklyn Methodist, and NYP-Lower Manhattan.
