H. Beatrice Im, M.D.

Dr. Beatrice Im completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell Center in 2007. She then practiced and taught at the Bugando Medical Centre and the Weill-Bugando University College of Health Sciences as on-the-ground faculty for Weill-Cornell Medical College in Mwanza, Tanzania. While there, she focused on improving emergency obstetric care and started several different programs in women's health including those for cervical cancer screening, emergency obstetric ultrasound, and laparoscopy. Though she continues her involvement overseas with medical education for faculty and residents, her vision for bringing compassionate quality care to patients in her hometown brought Dr. Im back to New York City where she joined the faculty of New York Downtown Hospital in June 2010, before moving her practice to Weill Cornell's faculty practice in Tribeca.

Dr. Im has admitting privileges, and performs her surgeries and deliveries, at New York Downtown Hospital.
