About Paul Pagnini, M.D.
I am a board-certified radiation oncologist working in clinical medicine with an interest in clinical trials and improving the quality of life for people with cancer.
I specialize in caring for people with cancer with a specific focus on hematologic malignancies (lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma) genitourinary malignancies (prostate, bladder, kidney) and central nervous system ( brain, spine) tumors, both benign and malignant. I strive to embrace each patient’s needs both medically and emotionally. My goal is to deliver compassionate care, using state of the art radiotherapy in a multidisciplinary setting. I truly enjoy taking time with my patients and their families so they fully understand their diagnosis and our treatment recommendations.
I have a special interest in utilizing cutting-edge technology, such as Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Adaptive Radiotherapy (ART), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) in order to minimize treatment related toxicity.
Dr. Paul Pagnini has served as a leader in community-based and academic radiation oncology for the past 20 years. Dr. Pagnini completed his residency training in Radiation Oncology at Tufts/New England Medical Center where he was chief resident in his final year. He was awarded the prestigious Research Fellowship Award from the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, which enabled him to study the role of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for the treatment of cancers of the central nervous system. He has served on the Faculty of the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine where he was the Radiation Oncology Residency Program Director. His most recent position was with the Cleveland Clinic Florida, where he served as Department Chair for the last five years.
