Biographical Info

Dr. Samson earned his medical degree at the State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in New Hyde Park, NY, and then went on to complete a fellowship in Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He is a board-certified urologist and a member of the American Urological Association and Endourology Society. 

Dr. Samson serves as the Director of Endourology and Kidney Stone Disease at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and NYP Brooklyn Medical Group. His clinical and academic interests focus on optimizing strategies for prevention of kidney stone disease and improving the quality of life of patients suffering with kidney stones. He is an expert in the surgical management of kidney stones, including extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy, and percutaneous nephrolithotomy.
