Biographical Info

Dr. Panarelli obtained her undergraduate degree in Government at Georgetown University. She obtained her M.D. at New York Medical College and trained in anatomic and clinical pathology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Panarelli completed her fellowship in gastrointestinal pathology at Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering. After graduating from fellowship, Dr. Panarelli was an Instructor, and then an Assistant Professor, in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine from 2011- 2015. In 2015, she moved to Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she has been Professor of Pathology since July 2023. At Montefiore, she was the Director of Anatomic Pathology Research, and serves on multiple research oversight committees. Dr. Panarelli rejoins Cornell as Vice Chair for Education and Faculty Developmentand Chief of Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology.
