About Jihye Kim, M.D.
Dr. Jihye Kim is an Instructor in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Attending Psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She specializes in adult psychiatry, providing medication management, psychotherapy, and diagnostic consultations. Dr. Kim believes in a comprehensive approach that includes thoughtful consideration of biological, psychological, and social factors to diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Jihye Kim completed her undergraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with special distinction in translational research. She then completed her adult psychiatry residency training at NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell/Payne Whitney Clinic, during which she was recognized for her research with the Samuel W. Perry III, MD Distinguished Award in Psychiatry Medicine and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Outstanding Resident Award Program. She is currently a member of the Burroughs Wellcome Weill Cornell Physician Scientist Academy, continuing her research work in understanding the molecular and neural circuit mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders. Her research and clinical focus is in understanding the pathophysiology and improving treatment of obsessive compulsive spectrum and anxiety disorders.
