I am a surgical oncologist and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery in the Department of Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens / Weill Cornell Medicine. I am a board-certified surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. I treat patients with gastric, hepatic, biliary, pancreatic, and other abdominal cancers. I work with a team of gastroenterologists, interventional radiologists, pathologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists to derive the most optimal multidisciplinary and individualized plan to treat your cancer. When appropriate for you, I will use minimally invasive and robotic DaVinci Xi platforms to help you recover faster after surgery.

After graduating from Duke University, I earned my medical degree from University of South Florida, where I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. I completed my general surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center, where I was elected to be the administrative chief resident. During residency, I also pursued hepatopancreatobiliary surgery research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. I then completed a complex general surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where I also served as the administrative chief fellow.

I have published over couple dozen peer-reviewed articles in surgical oncology in many leading journals, including Annals of Surgical Oncology, Annals of Surgery, and Journal of the American College of Surgeons. I am a member of several organizations, including the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons, and the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association. I will use my knowledge of cancer to deliver cancer treatment in the most scientific manner and also with compassion and culturally-sensitivity to serve our diverse patient populations in Queens and the greater New York City
