Biographical Info

Dr. H. Beatrice Im is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in History and received her M.D. from SUNY Upstate Medical University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical Center. After completing her residency, Dr. Im practiced and taught at Bugando Medical Center and the Weill-Bugando University College of Health Sciences in Mwanza, Tanzania. While there, she worked closely with local students and residents, focusing on improving emergency obstetrical care as well as working with local OB/GYN doctors to start programs in cervical cancer screening, emergency obstetric ultrasound, and laparoscopy. She returned to the US with a deeper appreciation for female reproductive health care access. Since her return to the US, Dr. Im has worked within the Weill Cornell Medicine and the NYP systems in different capacities throughout the years. She now joins the company of her colleagues at the East 80th Street location as a generalist OB/GYN.

Most of Dr. Im's time outside of work is occupied by running around after three little girls, a math teacher husband, and the Tanzanian village cat, Tom (her only boy). She also enjoys gardening and one day hopes to grow something edible.
