Personal Statement
I am a CardioOncologist specializing in the care of cancer patients with heart disease. It is my goal to help cancer patients tolerate cardiac side effects of life-prolonging cancer therapy, and to optimize heart health of cancer survivors.
I am an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. As a physician-investigator I have co-authored multiple papers in CardioOncology, and my body of research has been cited over 2,800 times by the scientific community.

Biography
Residency: Internal Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Fellowship: Cardiovascular Diseases, New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medicine.
Fellowship: Cardio-Oncology, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Dr Mahmood's research is focused on understanding the cardiotoxicity of immunotherapy for cancer, including immune checkpoint inhibitors and chimeric antigen receptor T-cells. He has received research grant funding from the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation, and the New York Academy of Medicine.
