Personal Statement

It is an honor to be Cardiologist in this era as advancements in both non-invasive and invasive therapies expand at such a rapid rate. As an academic clinician, my goal is to provide the highest standard of care for my patients, while doing so with respect, empathy, and compassion.

Dr. Sunny Shah grew up in New Jersey and first moved to New York City to pursue his undergraduate studies at New York University, where he was a Presidential Honors Scholar. He then went on to pursue his passion for medicine at the NYU School of Medicine, and subsequently chose to stay at NYU to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medical College. Dr. Shah joined the full time faculty at Weill-Cornell upon completion of his training.

Dr. Shah practices General Cardiology at New York Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital. His practice includes patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. He also has an interest in cardiac prevention.
