Weill Cornell Expectant Parent Education and Wellness Program

Thank you for choosing to deliver at New York-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center!

We are excited to welcome you to our state-of-the-art labor and delivery and postpartum facilities at the NYP Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women & Newborns and NYP Lower Manhattan Hospital.

We offer several programs to enhance well-being and knowledge from the beginning of pregnancy through labor and delivery and postpartum.

We do not believe in one size fits all. Hopefully, you will find one or more programs to best suit your needs.

Classes: allow you and your partner to learn about childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Mimicking traditional in-person classes, class size is limited to facilitate better learning.  Our teachers are top-notch certified childbirth educators who are also nurses who work at the hospital and can give you the scoop as to what works best here. Click here to register for a class.

Forums: These Zoom forums, led by our obstetrician-gynecologists and guest speakers from other departments, cover common topics of interest. New forums are added periodically. Click here for upcoming forums.

Browse our forum library for previous recordings on various topics.  Listen to a forum at your leisure.  Click here for the forum library.

Genetic Counseling Sessions: Free virtual group genetics counseling sessions are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6p EST. During the session, our department’s genetic counselors will explain non-invasive and invasive genetic testing options and hold an FAQ session to answer any questions. Online Learning: Access a nationally renowned e-learning module that allows you to learn at your own pace.  Click here to register for online learning.

Wellness Offerings: NYP and Weill Cornell Medicine are privileged to have an Integrative Health and Wellbeing Program that offers an individualized, holistic, and evidence-based approach to healthcare. Click here  for the link to Integrative Health.
