Dr. Paul Chai brings a breadth and depth of expertise in complex neonatal surgery and minimally invasive cardiac surgery. In addition to directing NYP/Columbia’s pediatric heart transplantation and mechanical assist device services, Dr. Chai also directs congenital heart surgery services at the Weill Cornell campus. He performs aortic valve surgery, including valve-sparing root replacements, in both pediatric and adult patients; and continues to care for his patients as they grow into adulthood as part of the hospital’s adult congenital heart disease service.
