Lauren Kelly, MS, RD, CDN is a Registered Dietitian providing medical nutrition therapy for the Center for Advanced Digestive Care and GI Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery programs.
Lauren earned a Bachelors in Biopsychology from Loyola University in Baltimore and a Masters in Nutrition from Hunter College. After completing her internship through Northwell Health at Lenox Hill Hospital, Lauren joined NYP as an inpatient dietitian at our Columbia campus. Lauren has experience in private practice, providing individualized nutrition therapy in the home environment. She has also participated in IRB nutrition studies.
At Weill Cornell, Lauren is providing medical nutrition therapy to patients challenged by gastrointestinal diseases, post-GI surgery and side effects of cancer treatments. She also counsels patients on weight loss, as well as appropriate nutrition therapy pre- and post-bariatric surgery.
Lauren works closely with our interdisciplinary team of physicians, social workers, nurses and case managers to help provide the best possible care to her patients. Lauren strives to help her patients reach their nutrition goals, thereby boosting overall quality of life.
