She then went on to complete her transitional year internship at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and her ophthalmology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Segal completed an additional two years of subspecialty training in surgery of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system at the Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan. This prestigious fellowship is one of few in the county credentialed by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS).
