Personal Statement

Taking care of sick children and their families is my passion.  With a multidisciplinary team approach, we make sure our pediatric intensive care unit is a safe place for them to recover.

Dr. Jun Sasaki is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and the Director of Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care and assistant attending pediatrician at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. 

He received his medical degree from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan and completed his pediatric residency at Elmhurst Hospital Center/Mount Sinai, where he also served as chief resident.  He then completed a pediatric critical care medicine fellowship and an additional year of training in cardiac intensive care at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly known as Miami Children's Hospital). He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine.

Dr. Sasaki is involved in multiple research and quality improvement projects through multi-institutional sites collaboration for Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium (PC4) and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (PCICS).  He is the clinical champion to represent the pediatric cardiac ICU team for Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium (PC4).
