Personal Statement

I am an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. As an interventional cardiologist, I specialize in percutaneous (minimally invasive) cardiac interventions for coronary artery disease, acute myocardial infarctions (heart attacks), and cardiogenic shock. I also serve as an attending physician on the inpatient services including the intensive care unit and cardiology wards. My goal is to provide high-quality, individualized care to improve health and well-being.

Biographical Info

Dr. Joseph Wang completed his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He attended the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine after which he completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He then completed his fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Wang is a diplomate of the American College of Cardiology, National Board of Echocardiography, and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).
