Biography

Chester W. Lerner, M.D., FIDSA, FSHEA, FACP, was graduated from the

University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine

Residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York

City. He is board certified in both clinical areas. Dr. Lerner is the Associate

Chief of Infectious Diseases and also the Hospital Epidemiologist at New York

Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital. He holds a faculty appointment at Weill

Cornell Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine. Dr. Lerner has

multiple times been cited by New York magazine, The New York Times, and the

Castle Connolly Guide in their Best Doctors in New York publications. His

research publications have focused on infections in immunocompromised patients

with HIV/AIDS and also on tuberculosis.
