Asthma & Allergy Clinic and Immunology Consultation Service
The Asthma & Allergy Clinic and Immunology Consultation Service diagnoses and treats disorders of the immune system that are expressed as hypersensitivity. Specialized services provided include hypersensitivity diagnostic skin testing, allergen immunotherapy, pulmonary function testing, immunologic diagnostic services, rhinolaryngoscopy, counseling regarding allergic disorders, and the diagnosis and treatment of allergies due to drugs, environmental allergens, food, and insects.
Our immunologists are involved in extensive clinical research trials to test new immunotherapies for chronic viral infections, in particular infections due to Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis C Virus, and Cytomegalovirus. Studies sponsored by the National Institute of Health are conducted in the Weill Cornell Medicine General Clinical Research Center.
