Medical Oncology/Solid Tumor Program

The Solid Tumor Service provides an individualized treatment plan for every cancer patient, based on a multi-disciplinary team approach. The team is led by expert, world renown medical oncologists, who work closely with specialized nurses, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, laboratory scientists, and physicians from other disciplines, including surgery, pathology, diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, psychiatry, and pain management.

 

Special programs:

The Comprehensive Breast Center is located at 61st Street and York Avenue and includes breast surgeons, radiologists, and oncologists devoted to providing state-of-the-art care to women with breast cancer;

The Urological Oncology Program focuses on prostate, kidney and bladder cancers;

The Thoracic Oncology Program on lung and esophogus cancers;

The Gastrointestinal Oncology Program on colon, rectal, liver and stomach cancers;

The Head and Neck Program on cancers of mouth, pharynx, larynx, and neck;

The GYN Program on ovarian, uterine and cervical cancers.
