Weill Cornell Physicians specializing in Gastroenterology and Hepatology conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including routine endoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, and ERCP. Some of the conditions treated include gastroesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disease, hepatitis C and GI cancer.

Weill Cornell Physicians also provide specialized treatment of hepatitis C at the Hepatitis C Center, the only comprehensive, multidisciplinary center dedicated to the study of hepatitis C and hepatic disease in the tri-state area. The Center is a translational medicine program, which combines cutting edge efforts in research and treatment for hepatitis C, and seeks to provide new insights into the liver disease caused by this infection.

Extensive services in all areas of gastroenterology are also available to children. The Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition at the Children's Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient care while working with other disciplines to offer extensive medical and supportive care for gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and nutritional disorders. Weill Cornell pediatric gastroenterologists utilize the latest clinical advances in technology and knowledge to diagnose structural and functional gastrointestinal malfunctions.
