Pamelynn Esperanza, M.D.
Pam Esperanza, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Esperanza is both a pediatrician and child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist specializing in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders. Dr. Esperanza’s clinical interests are focused on pediatric and adult ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), depression, anxiety, and psychopharmacology. She maintains a private practice where she treats children, teens and adults for psychotherapy as well as medication evaluation and management. Dr. Esperanza also serves as the Pediatrician of the Child Psychiatry Inpatient Service at the Westchester Division.
Dr. Esperanza completed her residency in General Pediatrics at St. Vincent’s Medical Center/ New York Medical College in Manhattan. Since 2007, she has practiced general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. Dr. Esperanza advanced her training by completing a fellowship in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry at University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Esperanza brings the unique perspective of a pediatrician with advanced training in psychiatry. She blends her knowledge of child development, pediatric illness and mental health to provide a comprehensive treatment plan for her patients.
Dr. Esperanza dedicates herself to working with adults and children of all ages. Her goal is to create a warm, safe and secure environment for her patients. Dr. Esperanza believes in developing a partnership with her patients and families where treatment is individually tailored. She is available for diagnostic consultations, psychopharmacologic treatment and psychotherapy with children, teens, and adults.
